I finally got Copic Markers!

Copic Markers -- They've been all the talk on the best blogs for about the last 4 months now. I have been debating whether to get them or not...and tonight I guess I decided with the stroke of a key, that I was getting them! I won a set of 30 copic markers on Ebay. I sure hope they make my stamping as wonderlicious as everyone else that is using them! We'll see!

This weekend we're off to visit my sister-in-law and her family at Moses Lake (about a 4 hour drive from where we are now). It is always sunny and warm there on the eastern side of the mountains, so I hope the kids enjoy that! The weather though very mild and warm, has already started to turn. Mornings when I wake up are starting to darken, and it isn't until about 6:30 or so that I see the sun coming out...sad but true. I miss the morning sunshine of a summer's day.

I will also miss weather that is nearly perfect! Today was one of those days. I think it was about 80, but there were nice breezes and it was a cool-ish kind of 80 degree day. Not the typical 80 degree 'hot summer' day. I think only a Seattleite would know what I mean by that!

I hope to stamp this weekend while we're out of town....maybe we'll even get a new camera since no one has the right darned cord for mine! ARGH!!

New card posted: "Thanks for the card"

I made this with the Stampin Up sell-a-bration set that I didn't get, but that my friend Michele was kind enough to give me. It is stamped on Watercolor paper which made for really nice results with the wonderful watercolor crayons....I hate that long name, but I love using the crayons! Anyway, there is some pink sheer dotted May Arts ribbon and a Prima daisy. I think the center is a big black brad from Joanns or Bazzill....

The saying is made with Karen Foster Snap Stamps that I ADORE but wasn't smart enough to get until they were no longer manufactured, and couldn't be found except for this set on Ebay. I've been told they will re-issue the snap stamps in early 2008 though...so I'm hoping this is one set they will bring back in many sizes! The center of each flower has some glitteratti (Dazzling Diamonds from SU).

Thanks for stopping by!

The Excitement is builidng.....

This coming weekend is the Seattle Gift Show! I am going to see May Arts and place an order!! I can hardly wait!! :)

If anyone is interested in ribbon in bulk, please let me know what you want. If you are local we can arrange for you to pick it up so there won't be an additional shipping charge.

There are soooooo many pretty new ribbons out!! If you want me to order and just get 5 - 10 yards or so, I can do that too if it's a ribbon that others will get. I've got a lot of extra ribbon on hand, but I am a ribbon hoarder and that is what you are supposed to do if you hoard ribbon - keep lots on hand, right? LOL It usually goes pretty quickly when I post a message on Splitcoast stampers about any excess! :)

Sooooo, if you want something from May Arts Ribbons, let me know!!!!

A CHANCE to win WHAT? $2500?? For Real?

Yes, it's for real! At least I hope it is!

Hi People!
It's been a long week. The weather was gorgeous...so much so, that I think I had a little too much on Thursday. While out and about, I got caught up in traffic. My normal 20 minute drive turned into an hour + commute. Since the sun was out and I was on the bridge and the Blue Angels were practicing over head, I thought I'd turn off the A/C and open the sunroof...the A/C had been giving me a scratchy kind of feeling in my throat anyway. Well, about 45 minutes into the traffic jam, I felt a little warm so I closed the sunroof (bye, bye, Blue Angels). Still feeling overheated, I turned on the A/C again...after being off for so long, it takes a while for it to start working....so I was blasted with more WARM air. By the time I got off the bridge, I was so stinking hot, I had a headache and felt dizzy! I was still in work clothing (shirt & sweater)...took off the sweater, and could not get cooled off! I had the worst headache all night long and into the next day. AGH!!!! I thought I could handle the sun!

So feeling better today (finally!). I wanted to share this with you all since I found it very interesting. Hopefully it is really true!

Over at Ashwin’s blog, you will find one crazy blog owner!! You can win $2500!! To enter just copy this text and paste it in your blog!! But hurry, this competition will not last long! So get posting! Ashwin's blog is at http://www.ashwinkhanna.com/archives/19

I say you just never know....what if it IS true and one of us wins that $2500 to spend on new fall catalog goods?? WOOOHOO!! I would send a nice little something to the person that notified me about the contest/drawing, and then the rest would be put into stamps/paper, and more stuff!

What are you all doing this weekend? We are heading to a friends house for a party today and then visiting with our next door neighbor for an afternoon/evening barbeque! We'll see if any stamping happens! ;-)

Take care and hope you're all staying cool!
