Check out Lil Deb's blog for a chance to win candy!
http://lildebstampscrap.blogspot.com/

The weather in Seattle has been GEORGE-OUS! 90 degrees on Saturday...then maybe in the 70's on Sunday. Today wasn't bad either.... I stayed inside for part of the time to scrap & make cards. I've got some pics to share but need to find that dang camera again.

Hope everyone has great plans for the Memorial Day Holiday coming up! We usually go to Eastern WA to spend time with my sister in law who has a cabin on Moses Lake BUT the cost of diesel is killing me right now! $92 to fill up - that's only a week's worth (4 - 5 days)....then it's another stop at the bank to get a loan...GEEZ! Help me somebody! We're not going this year and will instead picnic at home! :) (and I'll get to stamp...oh darn, I wish I didn't HAVE to stay home and stamp)....hopefully hubby will not see this! LOL

'nother new card to share

I bought some new SEI paper over the weekend and made this card. I love the colors. Don't click on the close up though...it's not very 'neat' and it's showing up rather pink. The true color is more of a coral tone. The paper is earthy and gorgeous! The little chipboard flowers are inked with old olive craft, dotted with pewter stickles and some bling that was colored with a salmon colored copic marker. The greeting is popped up though you can't really tell. It's been 'taken' by one of the card customers at work :)

I took my kids to the mall after work and blew a wad on spring things. Anyone else feelin the pain of teenagers who really need new clothes? My son isn't picky but has a hard time finding shoes for his wide, flat foot. $120 later we found a pair that fit. I was embarressed to see that he was wearing a pair that had tears in them. He'd never ask for new shoes - maybe hearing us tell him about poor people who have NO shoes is sinking in? We also bought some new t-shirts because he spilled a bottle of oil on his clothes and threw them all in the wash. They all smell horrible and rancid now! YECH!

Hope everyone had a great day!

Big Thank You to Jen Young!

Jen Young at http://expressivelyme.blogspot.com/ had a birthday blog candy giveaway recently, and I was one of the lucky winners! She sent a goodie bag prize that arrived today. OMG -- there was sooooo much stuff in there and I am thrilled to be the one that gets to play with all of it!

Jen sent all of this:
--Queen & Co's "Miss Priss" big sequin flowers - they're excellent embellishments on pages and cards - wow! (Pinks, purples, lavendars...I have papers to match, sitting on my desk! You must have ESP!)
--An entire package of wasabi green micro beads - metallic ones!~ Very fun and perfect for my cards!
--A Rhona Farrar clear flower stamp - trendy, mod and cute!
--American Crafts ribbon (these are the colors that I was looking for the other day on my scrappin safari, Jen!) How'd you know?
--Post it notes with an SU flower that I love in PINK!
--Checkbook cover and adorable mini photo album - the checkbook cover has Groovy Gals stamped and colored - what cheery and girly colors - great for summertime :)
--Butterfly die cuts - so delicate and pretty, I want to keep them not use them!
-- Making Memories Square Page Pebbles...one can never have too many of these! I use them a lot!
--Pink Embossed cardstock with candles...I'm making birthday cards tonight with these!
--An sweet gift card enclosure with a lady bug and cute patterned paper - it's just my style, Jen!

If it weren't dark already outside, I could take a picture of all the fun goods! Instead, I'm going to try to make things and share them later this week~! Go visit Jen's place - she is hilarious and keeps me in stitches...and her little kids are just the cutest too!

Thank you SO MUCH! You are the best, girlfriend! Happy Birthday!

P.S. Here are a couple more cards:

The camera has been found :)

That means everyone is happy (especially mama!) I want post some pics of some of the cards that I will be taking in for the lady at work.

Some of them were posted before on my blog but not with my pretty coordinating envelopes!

Admittedly, some I like better than others, but I was still floored that she wanted to buy them all - and said any price....hmmmm....I want to have her back again as a customer so that's why the package deal! I will post some of the others later on. Time for red beans & rice tonight~

Hope your weekend was wonderful!

hugs,
E

Where does the time go!?

It's been too long since I've posted anything! We've had so much going on at work and at home. The Seattle Times announced an RIF about a month ago. Friday we lost about 200+ employees. Many of these people I have worked with for a long time, others for just a short while. It just won't be the same without them. Each person had something special to offer and I know they will be missed.

On a happier note, I took some cards in to the office that I had made a while back, and was shocked when ONE gal asked if she could buy them all.....NINETEEN of them. I gave her a 'package price'...and she told others and showed them the cards...guess what I have now..... ORDERS for cards!! YIKES! I have orders for 60 cards for people in the office. I have no clue when I will be able to make them, but if you have a great card to share that you think is easy to CASE, link it up here for me please! This is just what I needed in order to use up some of my stash of stuff!

I'm looking forward to a great weekend. Saturday was National scrapbook day, and I got to spend the entire day with my friend Debbie - we had another scrapbook safari. I had planned to not buy that much....well, things don't always go as planned, especially when it comes to scrapbooking stuff! What did YOU do on National Scrapbook Day? I hope it was something fun!!

Allison sent a great red, black & white card yesterday too. It included a wonderful little assortment of hydrangeas and acrylic baubles. The flowers were exactly the color that I needed and had been looking for at stores yesterday...and never found. I was so excited to see them last night when I opened the card! Thank you so much, Allison! You really are the BEST!!

And just when it seems things are going well, you realize a camera is missing. My camera to be exact. One of the mangy mongrels has taken/borrowed it and not put it back. Now that means I can't share any photos until it is found. It's bad enough that I haven't updated this blog for weeks, and now all I have are blabby words to post. :( Hopefully one of the kids will confess today so I can post a few pics!

Have a great day~
