Sharing a card using a Gina K stamp!

Good news: I took off the extra step for comments a little while ago. Hopefully the spam won't start up again like it did last time! Now you can leave a quick message for me - I'd love constructive criticism too if you have it! :)

I made this card for my aunt's birthday earlier this month. She recently started scrapbooking and has fallen hard for it! Everyday I get at least one email from her where she asks advice on products or talks about buying something new! We went to the Creating Keepsakes convention in Seattle together in November last year and had a blast. Anyway, I'm glad that she's found scrapping and card-making as it gives us another reason to get together and go out and have fun shopping!!

Her daughter, Carrie, is an obstetrician and does scrapbooking too in her spare time (between delivering babies, I guess)lol- and get this --- Carrie has an 8 year old son who LOVES to scrap! LOL Can you believe it? Runs in the family I guess!

My card is a bit of a strange combo of colors (at least for me). There is scoring on the green panel, and a bit of Memory Box patterned paper underneath that. Some Making Memories rub ons, a Prima Hydrangea, Martha Stewart's sticky scallop for the glitter, and some big, fat, wide striped ribbon by L'il Davis.

I also used two items on this card which I hardly EVER use....can you guess what those items are? Buttons and photo corners! I don't remember the last time I used a button or a photo corner on anything! So there you have it - my attempt to use what I have (and hopefully hubby will buy it when I tell him I'm using my stuff)...so I can go and buy more! LOL

Happy sunny Monday!! (Sunny in Seattle, that is!)

Oh Elaine! Your card is lovely! I love the color combo. . .I don't think it's a strange combo. They're pretty! I really like all the elements to your cards. I've been using button more often on my cards lately. Like you, I rarely used them but I think buttons are making a comeback!!

Elaine,
That stamp is so pretty! You colored the image so perfectly. I'm so jealous of your talent.
Glad you found some time to play on your break.
Take care,
